Preble County residents are proud of their agricultural blend and seek a wider market for the farm community.  There are 1,065 farms in Preble County and more than 615 farmers that list farming as their primary occupation while 450 list farming as their secondary occupation.  Preble County is leading agricultural producer of soybeans, corn for grain, and hogs.  Agriculture is Ohio's number one industry contributing more than $98 billion to the states economy, and Preble County contributes more than 60,306 acres of corn, 85,633 acres of soybeans, and 173,802 hogs to that number.
